He got everything in place, the restaurant, the romantic walk afterward along the river front; and in the very spot he planned with the perfect setting, he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. She said,.... She said, "No."
Even though she said no, he still loves her. He is heartbroken, but loves her. She will not get to experience his love for her. She will not experience a life-long relationship with him. She rejected his love and a relationship. Often people speak of God's love for people. God is love and God loves everyone. It is easy to assume we are okay with God since He loves everyone. Yet, if we never receive and accept His love and a relationship with Him, then we do not experience His love. We miss out. His love doesn't go away. People just live their lives without it because they reject it. We often want our sin more than Him. He planned the whole thing. He had every detail laid out. At just the right moment, a special moment, He walked among us. At just the right spot, He was crucified for our sins and He rose again from the grave. His death paid the penalty of sin and His resurrection secures victory over sin. That's how much He loves us. Sadly, so many choose
